Welcome to my page!   My name is Ruth and I enjoy being  a qualified Sports Therapist and Holistic Massage Therapist. 

I graduated in 2023 with a First Class Honours Degree in Sports Therapy (BSc Hons). This follows my Foundation Degree with distinction, also in Sports Therapy. I have learnt a lot about musculoskeletal examination and treatment of injury, anatomy, rehabilitation for sports injury and health conditions, biomechanics, pathology and physiology and strength and conditioning. 

Since 2006 I have worked as a professional massage therapist, holding a VTCT level 3 diploma in Aromatherapy, Reflexology and hot stones massage, and being ITEC level 4 qualified in sports massage. I also have a practitioner certificate in Reiki, pregnancy massage, Indian Head massage and a level 2 VTCT certificate in Holistic Facials and Skincare. 

I am insured by the Foundation of Holistic Therapists (FHT).

Previously, after graduating with a BSc (hons) degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Exeter, I worked as a microbiologist initially before working for 14 years within the NHS in a variety of project based and managerial roles. 

I initially started my holistic journey to bring the physical and psychological benefits of aromatherapy massage directly to my friends and family. This opened the doorway to a new and exciting career bringing these wonderful treatments to benefit my clients.
